About Rainstorm Car Wash

Rainstorm Car Wash is a car wash in Schaumburg, Illinois. It is listed at 706 W Golf Rd, Schaumburg, IL 60194, which places it among the local businesses of Schaumburg that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

In Schaumburg, washes are busiest on sunny weekends and the first dry day after rain or a snowstorm, when lines back onto the street; weekday mornings are the quietest. Across Illinois, expect a basic exterior wash to cost about what a fast-food meal does, with wax, tire shine and undercarriage rinse sold as tiers above it. Self-service bays are the cheapest way to clean a truck bed, a muddy off-roader or a vehicle that will not fit a tunnel, and many run around the clock. Check the listing for the wash type, hours, free vacuums, unlimited plans and whether the site accepts cards or app payments, then call ahead in freezing weather, when tunnels close.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 7 am–8 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Rainstorm Car Wash at (847) 884-7686; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is rainstormcarwash.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Customers rate it 4.3 out of 5 on Google across 974 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded car washes in Schaumburg.

Schaumburg is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Schaumburg follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The car wash itself is fine. I dislike the practice of their employees grabbing the credit card from your hand and both tapping, then inserting it into the machine. Why are they doing both of these actions? It feels inappropriate. Also, if the pay machines are meant to be self-service, what’s the purpose of this behavior in general? Maybe it’s fine, but the way it’s done feels sketch.

Paid $14 for a car wash after a long road trip and walked away disappointed. The wash just doesn’t have the power to tackle real road grime — bugs and mosquitoes stuck to the front bumper came out exactly the same as they went in. To be fair, I don’t think paying more at a fancier place would’ve made much difference, since it’s basically the same tunnel concept either way. If your car just got a little dusty from rain, this’ll do the job. But after a serious long-haul drive? Don’t expect miracles. The vacuum pressure was actually great though — that part delivered. Just wish the wash itself did too.

Quality of the wash has gone down A LOT. Car wash seems “patchy” all around the vehicle. Spots on 2 doors were untouched, back hatch middle still dirty. On the plus side the vacuums are pretty good

I cancelled my car wash membership approximately 10 days prior to its renewal date. The employee confirmed that my membership had been cancelled; however, I was charged the monthly fee once again. Despite contacting them by phone about the situation some 5 or 6 times, I was told that my membership had, in fact, not been cancelled. They claimed that I was required to provide 7 days' notice for cancellation. I pointed out that I *had* given notice 10 days in advance. I further noted that they had successfully cancelled the membership for one of my two vehicles—and invited them to check the dates to verify this—but they were unable to provide a response. They simply stated, "We have taken note of this and will forward it to our manager." I received absolutely no follow-up. When I called again—perhaps for the tenth time—they told me, "Our manager is only on-site during the morning hours, and we do not answer the phones at that time. You need to come here in person during those hours and explain your issue directly to him." Whenever I requested a refund, they gave me the same runaround: "You must come here during the hours when our manager is present and request the refund from him dire

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE - I am beyond disappointed with the lack of integrity at Rainstorm. Their blower system ripped the spare tire cover off my 2005 RAV4, causing $200 in damage. Rather than taking responsibility for their equipment, the Manager, Daniel, utilized a blatant "circular logic" tactic to avoid a payout. He claimed that because the cover blew off, there must have been pre-existing damage—despite the car being in perfect condition prior to entry. Essentially, their policy is: "If our car wash breaks it, it was already broken." Daniel was dismissive and fundamentally dishonest. If you value your vehicle and expect a business to stand behind their service, go elsewhere.
